Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation of Marblehead is marking its 25th anniversary in 2012.
During that time CSFM has grown from an idea shared by a small group of residents to an organization with an endowment of over 1.5 million dollars and has provided financial assistance toover 1000 students.

Several events are being planned to highlight the achievements of the past 25 years including a road race this spring and gala event in the fall.

to the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Marblehead

Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Marblehead (CSFM) is a charitable foundation that provides financial aid to the residents of the Town of Marblehead and students of Marblehead High School soley based on financial need.

A citizen supported charitable foundation, CSFM has an elected board of directors who oversee fundraising efforts, the awarding of scholarships and the management of the endowment.

CSFM is one of over 1,200 affliate chapters of Dollars for Scholars, a program of Scholarship America, the largest provider of scholarships throughout the United States.

 

A Brief History
Citizens' Scholarship Foundation of Marblehead (CSFM) was founded in 1987 by a group of citizens and educators who, due to the increasing demand for undergraduate education and escalating costs, recognized the need to raise scholarship funds to help deserving Marblehead students further their education.

Since 1988, Marblehead residents and friends have made it possible for the Citizens' Scholarship Foundation to award 1075 individual scholarships to students, totaling over $2,347,000 and to build the endowment fund to $1,540,964.
