Dollars for Scholars - Collegiate
Partners
Collegiate
Partners are post-secondary institutions
that support the ongoing work of Scholarship
America and the Dollars for Scholars
program. Any scholarship from Scholarship
America and/or Dollars for Scholars
that is brought to a Collegiate Partner
campus is used first to fill any unmet
student need. (Please note that Collegiate
Partner benefits apply only to student
scholarships received through a local
Dollars for Scholars chapter or a
program managed by Scholarship America.)
If there is no unmet need, these institutions
will use up to $2,500 of a scholarship
to reduce the self-help portion (loan,
work-study, etc.) of a student's financial
aid package. Some Collegiate Partners
will also match Dollars for Scholars
scholarships up to a specific dollar
amount.
Collegiate
Partner Institutions:
- Establish
early positive relationships with
high school students
- Attract
quality students
- Extend
community relations efforts
- Become
associated with an established and
well-respected national scholarship
organization
- Gain
publicity in Scholarship America
publications, which reach more than
2,600 high schools
- Increase
private-sector aid coming to their
campuses
